This London Road project highlights North Oxford Developments’ capability to deliver high-quality new build homes alongside complex site transformation works.
Working with an existing three-bedroom semi-detached property, the brief evolved into a multi-unit development, with the construction of two new self-contained flats to the side of the original house. The result is a carefully designed scheme that maximises the potential of the plot while delivering three distinct, high-specification dwellings.
This project demonstrates our ability to manage developments from groundworks through to completion, delivering new homes built to modern standards and finished to a high level of quality.
The client’s objective was to unlock the development potential of the site by utilising the side plot to create additional residential units. The goal was to deliver two high-specification flats that would sit seamlessly alongside the existing property, while also reconfiguring the external space to serve all three dwellings effectively.
A key priority was ensuring that the new units met all current building regulations, including acoustic performance, while maintaining a strong, contemporary aesthetic across the entire site.
The property originally comprised a standard three-bedroom semi-detached home with a large, underutilised side garden. While the plot offered clear development potential, it required full design coordination, structural works, and service integration to transform it into a multi-unit residential scheme.
The existing external areas lacked structure and functionality, requiring complete redesign and landscaping to accommodate the new layout.
